How to Heal and Protect Your Gums

  1. Brush twice daily: Use a pea-size amount of toothpaste and a soft-bristle toothbrush (manual or electric), angling the bristles at 45 degrees toward the gumline.
  2. Clean between teeth: Use interdental brushes and string floss once a day to remove plaque from spaces your toothbrush cannot reach.
  3. Rinse for protection: Use a non-alcoholic mouth rinse after brushing to kill remaining bacteria and soothe inflamed tissues.
  4. Monitor for bleeding: Keep track of any reduction in redness or bleeding as you stay consistent with the routine.
  5. Maintain consistency: Healthy gum habits take time; stick to the routine for at least 2 weeks to see visible improvement.

Note: If gum bleeding or swelling does not improve after two weeks of consistent care, please schedule an appointment with your dentist for a professional evaluation.
